Da ich ja heute noch den Mietwagen hatte, habe ich meine beiden polnischen Nachbarn, Adrian und Marcin, sowie zwei weitere deutsche Studenten, Kate und Chris, auf einen kleinen Ausflug in Richtung Woodstock, NB, mitgenommen. Dabei sind wir weitestgehend dem River Scenic Drive entlang des St. John River gefolgt, um uns das Spektakel des Indian Summer anzugucken. Durch Zufall haben wir dabei in Nackawic halt gemacht, und etwas gefunden, dass auf der Welt seinesgleichen sucht: Die grööööööößte Axt der Welt!
Eine Attraktion, die ganz klar in eine Reihe gestellt werden muss mit dem größten Mosquito der Welt, dem größten Papierflugzeug der Welt und, ganz klar, der größten Ananas der Welt! Solange Menschen so etwas zustande bringen, ist das Überleben der Spezies, zweifelsohne, nicht gefährdet.
As I still had the rental car today, I took my two Polish neighbors, Adrian and Marcin, as well as two other German students, Kate and Chris, on a little roadtrip towards Woodstock, NB. For the most part, we mainly followed the River Scenic Drive along the St. John River, in order to enjoy the spectacle that is the Indian Summer. Coincidentally, we stopped in Nackwic, and there we found something without equal in the whole wide world: The world's laaaaaaaargest axe!
This attraction definitely has to be named in the same breath as the world's largest mosquito, the world's largest paper airplane and, of course, the magnificent world's largest pineapple! As long as mankind is able and willing to produce such marvelous pieces of art, the survival of the species can hardly be endangered.
